SUMMER EVENTS IN WHITE BEAR LAKE
With the weather rapidly warming up and school letting out, it’s the perfect time of year to get out and enjoy White Bear Lake. Here are some summer events in the area that you won’t want to miss.
3rd Annual Garden Party – June 24th
This event, sponsored by the White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf, is in its third year. You can tour the garden and learn about what the Food Shelf does. The event also features food trucks, face painting, and a bouncy house for the kids to enjoy. Admission will only set you back one non-perishable item, but feel free to bring as many as you can carry since it all goes toward a great cause.
Prairie Wildflower Walks – June 30th
The 230-acre Tamarack Nature Center is full of beauty, and that holds especially true in the summer. Take a walk through the prairie to enjoy all of the beautiful, blooming wildflowers on June 30th from 9 am to noon; guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Fourth of July Fireworks – July 4th
The Fourth of July is always a cause for celebration, and White Bear Lake certainly does it right! You can camp out on Memorial Beach for the evening, catching the fireworks at 10 p.m. Just before the pyrotechnics, you can enjoy live music from WildCat Combo starting at 8 p.m. and a flyover fromT-6 Texan planes at 8:30 p.m.
